After consultation with the Premier and further to discussions yesterday in Cabinet, I wish to inform you that I intend to exercise my power under Section 85 of the Constitution to recall the House of Assembly.

Forty-two (42) candidates will be contesting the upcoming General Elections in the Virgin Islands on April 24.

In consultation with the Premier and the Leader of the Opposition, I have invited the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association to observe the upcoming General Election on 24 April. The CPA team will be in the BVI from 17-27 April. This will be the fourth election in the BVI that the CPA have observed since 2011.

Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie deCastro and other ministry officials are featured during the handing over of non-perishable goods to replenish pantries during Education Week 2023 held March 12 to 19.

The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has approved additional funds for the completion of the restroom facility at Brewers Bay.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) will welcome assessors from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) who arrive in the BVI next week to conduct the fourth round of mutual evaluation.

The audit on Assistance Grants has now been tabled and discussed in the House of Assembly, and is now available to the public with appropriate redactions. The audit was conducted in response to Commission of Inquiry Recommendation B12, and covered Assistance Grants issued between January 2019 and May 2022.
