Chief Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Lionel Michael has said that the Environmental Health Division is on a mission to protect residents and visitors to the BVI from food borne illnesses through its food handler’s training programme.
New and renewing food handlers on Tortola are notified that a Food Handlers Clinic is scheduled for March 1 at Nature’s Way located in Fat Hogs Bay beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Chief Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Lionel Michael is appealing to residents to refrain from backyard burning because of the environmental and personal health impact on the community.

The public is advised that the Public Health Unit, the Environmental Health Division and the Department of Waste Management are re-locating to the first floor of the Road Town Senior’s Building, next door to the Red Cross Building in Tortola.
