The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change in collaboration with H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC), Center Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES) and Spatial Innovision Ltd conducted a series of training sessions to enhance the capability of environmental and technical officers in water quality monitoring, data analysis and storage.

The Environmental Health Division’s Vector Control Unit will be carrying out fogging operations this evening to address the increase of adult mosquitoes in the following areas, McNamara, Long Bush, Lower Estate, Huntum’s Ghut, Horse Path, John’s Hole and Pasea.

The Environmental Health Division is informing all booth owners participating in Rena’s Festiville 70th Emancipation Festival that they must submit their festival booth registration forms to the Division by Wednesday, July 24.

The Environmental Health Division is reminding all food business proprietors that according to Part IX, Section 28 of the Public Health Food Hygiene Regulation, all food businesses must register with the Environmental Health Division to be inspected and licensed.
Food Handlers are notified that they are to collect their food handler cards within two weeks after completing and passing the food safety session and accompanying quiz.
