Early childhood facilities in the Virgin Islands are being urged to be diligent with hand hygiene practices to arrest the spread of common childhood diseases.
The Environmental Health Division has announced the recall of Morbier Cheese which is suspected to be contaminated with Shiga toxin producing Escherichia coli (E. Coli).

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change in collaboration with H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC), Center Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES) and Spatial Innovision Ltd conducted a series of training sessions to enhance the capability of environmental and technical officers in water quality monitoring, data analysis and storage.

The Environmental Health Division’s Vector Control Unit will be carrying out fogging operations this evening to address the increase of adult mosquitoes in the following areas, McNamara, Long Bush, Lower Estate, Huntum’s Ghut, Horse Path, John’s Hole and Pasea.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is partnering with the Pan American Health Organization to reduce the burden of foodborne diseases in the Caribbean.
The Environmental Health Division will be hosting virtual and in person Food Handlers Training Courses tomorrow July 25 for festival food handlers to get certification.
