Deputy General Manager for the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC), Mr. Henry Creque is reminding the public to practice the safe usage of generators and ‘Hook It Up Right’.

General Manager for the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) Mr. Leroy A.E. Abraham has disclosed that three new feeders have been restored on the electricity grid as restoration efforts continue.

Residents are informed that the Sophie Bay road will be closed on Sunday, February 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

General Manager for the BVIEC, Mr. Leroy Abraham has said that restoration of electricity on Tortola is about 98 percent complete.

Electrical teams are currently working to restore various feeders from Virgin Gorda to Jost Van Dyke. 

The public is advised that the Fort Hill road will be closed December 12 and 13 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on both days.

35 linesmen have arrived to assist the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) with the restoration of electricity in the Territory.

The following areas are expected to be reconnected to the national electricity grid in the coming weeks.
