Supervisor of Elections, Ms. Scherrie Griffin represented the British Islands and Mediterranean Region as a short-term observer during an Election Expert Mission for the St Helena General Election held on October 13.

The Office of the Supervisor of Elections has enhanced its capacity to successfully manage the electoral process in the Virgin Islands.

The Supervisor of Elections is informing the public that the Revised Voters’ List will be published on Tuesday, September 28 in accordance with section 23 (1) of the Elections Act, 1994 and Amendments. The Act states the following:

The Supervisor of Elections is informing the public that the Preliminary Voters’ List is available for inspection for a period of ten days from September 10 to 20 in accordance with Section 18 (5) of the Elections Act, 1994 and Amendments.

The Office of the Supervisor of Elections has announced that Voter Registration is ongoing, and that eligible persons must register by September 6 to be included on the 2021 Preliminary Voters’ List. 

The staff at the Office of the Supervisor of Elections is inviting residents on Anegada, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda to register to vote and request Voter ID Cards during their upcoming visits to the Sister Islands. 

Supervisor of Elections Ms. Scherrie Griffin represented the Caribbean as part of a virtual observation mission for the Cayman Islands General Elections held April 14.

The public is notified that Voter Registration is ongoing, and all eligible BVI citizens and belongers are encouraged to register to vote.

Experienced public officer and recurring election staffer Ms. Scherrie Griffin has been appointed as the Supervisor of Elections effective February 18, 2021.

The public is notified that the Preliminary Voters’ List for 2020 is available for viewing in different locations throughout each district.
