Greetings fellow Virgin Islanders. As we approach another hurricane season, it is crucial that we remain vigilant and prepared. This year's Atlantic Hurricane Season is already proving to be an active one, as evidenced by the flash floods experienced in early May. These events have served as a wake-up call, alerting us to the areas that require immediate attention to mitigate flooding during inclement weather.

Virgin Islands Responds To Flash Flooding Event

Damage assessments began yesterday as the Virgin Islands carries out its emergency response to the passage of a trough May 7 and 8.

The event dumped more than 5 inches of rain on Road Town and approximately 9 inches on Virgin Gorda.
