The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports is reminding the public that all public schools in the Territory will reopen on Monday, January 8 for the 2024 Lent Term. Classes will resume at the usual scheduled time on that date. All school staff, parents and students are asked to take note

Financial Secretary, Mr. Glenroy A. Forbes is reminding vendors that all Government purchases for goods and services must be done via a Local Purchase Order (LPO) or a contract agreement.
On the evening of the March 16, 2017 Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE made a statement to the Territory setting out, among other things, his Government’s continued commitment to supporting law enforcement in the Territory.
On December 2, 2014, Accountant General, Dr Sandra M Besson, tendered her resignation to the department of Human Resources, giving the public service the requisite three months' notice and citing her decision as one that is personal.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is grateful to Dr Besson for her dedicated service to effective public service delivery and the management of the Territory's fiscal resources.
