Your Excellency the Governor, Mr. John J Rankin CMG, esteemed Commissioner of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Mark Collins; members of the media, ladies and gentlemen, Good morning!

I am pleased to be here this morning with the Premier and Commissioner of Police. Under the Constitution I have responsibility for the security of the Virgin Islands, including the police.  I do not shy away from that responsibility - it is my top priority.

Cabinet Meeting – 28th June, 2023

His Excellency, the Governor Mr. John J. Rankin, CMG, chaired the Meeting held on 28th June, 2023 at the Premier's Conference Room.

Earlier today, I was invited to a meeting by the Financial Secretary to meet with members of His Majesty’s Customs Department and the members of the Customs Welfare Association, the Honourable Premier and representatives from the Ministry of Finance were present.

The Audit of Covid-19 Assistance Grants made by Members of the House of Assembly was laid in the House on 13 July.

STATEMENT FROM THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL ON THE RECENT ARRESTS

The armed robbery at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on 1 July was a shocking incident which caused great concern for all present at the Pier Park that day and for the wider community.
