The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has offered to accept senior students from the BVI Secondary Schools to continue their education in that country.

Premier and Minister for Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE addressed leaders of the Territory’s financial services industry today at an update meeting hosted by BVI Finance.

All business owners are notified that special measures have been put in place to accommodate the entry of skilled workers to aid in relief activity.

At 11:00 p.m. the eye of Hurricane Irma was located near latitude 17.4 North, longitude 61.1 West. Irma has now taken a west-northwest track near 15 mph, and this motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.
