The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting sealed bids to supply office equipment, kitchen appliances and furniture for schools in the British Virgin Islands.
Thirty teens from secondary schools across the Territory are developing their knowledge and skills in the area of Community Emergency Response (Teen-CERT) in a three-day training programme.

The Government of the Virgin Islands was awarded the sum of $221,935.86 for clean-up costs as a result of an oil spill that occurred in the BVI waters in 2006.

A new chronic care programme will be piloted by the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) next month to improve the management of chronic diseases in the Territory.
Twenty-four Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) Youth Ambassadors from St. Kitts and Nevis are in the Territory to provide much needed assistance to the Government of the BVI.
