Territory-Wide Infrastructural Development Full Speed Ahead

The Government of the Virgin Islands is working vigorously to build the territory’s infrastructure to a level that will enhance the quality of life for residents of the Virgin Islands. In the shadows of major development projects, such as the Cruise Pier/landside development and the BVI Electricity Corporation Phase V Development Plan, there is a vast amount other projects progressing in the Territory.

Loan Agreement Signed To Improve BVI Road Networks

BVI Financial Account Reporting System Now Open

The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the International Tax Authority (ITA) of the Ministry of Finance is informing all financial institutions that the British Virgin Islands Financial Account Reporting System (BVIFARS) is now open and ready to accept enrolment applications from financial institutions required to submit information to the Government under the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the British Virgin Islands and the United States of America.

Healthy Living To Be Introduced In Schools Curriculum

Students in the Virgin Islands are to benefit from a programme that promotes the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviours as the Government embarks on a Healthy Schools Intervention Programme.

The Ministry of Education and Culture is collaborating with the Ministry of Health and Social Development to introduce this programme into the primary schools curriculum during the 2015-2016 school year beginning with Grades 2 and 3.
