The Environmental Health Division’s Vector Teams will begin fogging operations this week to address the high level of mosquito infestation and increase in dengue cases reported in the British Virgin Islands.
Officials from the BVI Tourist Board will discuss the draft reopening protocols with stakeholders specific to their respective tourism sectors starting this week.

Chief Planner, Mr. Gregory Adams will be discussing new protocols for conducting business with the Town and Country Planning Department inclusive of all COVID-19 guidelines next week.
The Inland Revenue Department is reminding property owners in the Virgin Islands that in accordance with the Property Tax Ordinance, Cap 207 (as amended), Property Tax for the year 2020 is due and payable September 1st to November 30th.

The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) is now under new leadership with the recent appointment of a new Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors and the appointment of a President and Vice President.
His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Augustus J. U. Jaspert, acting in accordance with the advice of Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie, has prorogued the House of Assembly effective Thursday, October 1 until such a time a new session is appointed.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie said that it was the ‘dawning of many new mornings in our beloved Virgin Islands,’ as he described the swearing in of Attorney General, Honourable Dawn Smith to the House of Assembly.
