Premier of the British Virgin Islands, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE and Chairman of the Overseas Countries and Territories Association (OCTA), has successfully concluded a series of meetings in the BVI with political leaders, officials, and delegates from the  European Union (EU)  and Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs).

The BVI House Asia was included as an offshore jurisdiction that offers beneficial structures to help families and corporates in their growing needs for wealth planning and management at the fifth annual Asian Wealth Management Forum 2015. The forum was organised by Hubbis, of which BVI House Asia was a sponsor.

Thirteen (13) schools have advanced to the Spelling Bee Finals of the 2015 National Inter-school Spelling Bee Competition after competitive preliminary rounds held earlier this week for both primary and secondary schools.

The British Virgin Islands will join several other countries and territories in testing their tsunami readiness during the simulation exercise, Caribe Wave/Lantex 2015, scheduled for Wednesday, March 25.

Forecasters are uncertain about how the 2015 Atlantic hurricane season will look if the currently developing weak El Niño persists throughout the summer months.

This initial uncertainty comes ahead of the first quantitative forecast for 2015 which will be issued on April 9.
