The National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands is continuing its conservation efforts to preserve endangered and endemic plants species in the Virgin Islands.
A document that will serve as an ideal reference for current and historical information on the Territory’s environment will be launched on Wednesday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m. at the J. R. O’Neal Botanic Gardens.
Parents and guardians of students attending the Bregado Flax Educational Centre (BFEC) Secondary Division are being encouraged to spend a minimum of one hour in their child’s classroom on National Parent Involvement Day on November 19.

The Town and Country Planning Department will be observing World Town Planning and Geographic Information Systems Day on Wednesday, November 18 under the theme, “Discovering the World Through GIS and Planning”.
Congratulations are in order for 2015 Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) Graduate Miss Ashley Scarllette Penn, who tied for 10th place in the region in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Physical Education and Sport General Examination.
The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Survey Department, is inviting tenders from qualified and suitable professionals or firms to provide digital photogrammetric services or aerial photography for the survey of the Territory.
The Environmental Health Division will be hosting their annual Food Handlers’ Training for food handlers residing and/or working on Jost Van Dyke on Monday, November 16, 2015.

The Environmental Health Division will be visiting the island of Anegada on November 09, 11 and 13 to conduct food premises inspection and food handler sessions in preparation for Lobster Fest 2015.
