The public is invited to be a part of a Territorial Interdenominational Service of Thanksgiving and Intercession to be held on Sunday, January 31, at 3:30 p.m. at the Road Town Methodist Church.

The event is spearheaded by the Government of the Virgin Islands, in collaboration with Aglow International Virgin Islands Chapter and will be held under the theme “Lord, Hear Our Humble Cry.” The service is designed to bring the community together to collectively thank God for his protection through 2015 and to invite his guidance, protection and favor on the Government and the people of the Territory in 2016.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE said he welcomes the opportunity to partner with the community and Aglow International in this very important initiative and encourages Territory-wide participation in prayer on behalf of our beloved Virgin Islands.

The Premier added, “The Government recognises that we cannot do it alone and as a leader of this Territory, I pray that God protects our families, our youth, and our Territory from natural and manmade disasters and that He arrests any problems threatening and destroying the fabric of our society.”

Aglow International Virgin Islands Chapter is the local branch of a worldwide Kingdom Ministry committed to seeing God’s will done on the earth as it is in heaven.  It serves as an extended arm of churches and offers avenues for spiritual growth and development for believers through monthly meetings, Triple Cord Prayer Groups and charitable outreach in the community.

The local chapter of Aglow International meets on the last Saturday of each month at Fort Burt Hotel’s conference room.
