The Government of Virgin Islands is providing outlets for students to stimulate positive behaviour and reduce bullying.

Acting in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act (Cap 199), as amended, Cabinet has approved the following public holidays for 2016:

Thursday, April 21 is designated as a public holiday in the Virgin Islands in observance of the 90^th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 50^th Anniversary of her first visit to the Territory.

A competition for the creation of a Territorial Pledge was officially launched as the Government of the Virgin Islands continues to work on building national pride among the youth and the population in general.
