Thursday, April 21 is designated as a public holiday in the Virgin Islands in observance of the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 50th Anniversary of her first visit to the Territory.
A competition for the creation of a Territorial Pledge was officially launched as the Government of the Virgin Islands continues to work on building national pride among the youth and the population in general.

BVI London Office Director and United Kingdom (UK) Representative Mr. Benito Wheatley was unanimously elected Chairman of the United Kingdom Overseas Territories Association (UKOTA) on behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands on January 25.

The selection of the winners of the 2015 Business of the Year, Most Innovative Business of the Year and the People’s ChoiceAward will take place later this month.
The British Virgin Islands (BVI) will join other Caribbean countries and territories in a simulation exercise to test its tsunami response plans on March 17.
