Chief Information Officer Ms. Desiree Smith is featured as she led the team at the Department of Information and Public Relations through discussions on the proposed Public Service Management Bill.  The team reviewed the piece of legislation and made recommendations on the way forward specifically as it relates to government communications and media relations.  As part of the process of transformation, the Government of the Virgin Islands is developing a new Public Service Management Bill which proposes to regulate, among other things, the organisation, management, functioning and staffing matters concerning ministries and departments in the Public Service.
