A two-day session is being held for Government officials and other industry stakeholders. The purpose of the sessions is to prepare a 100-day strategic operating plan that can be implemented to rebuild the Virgin Islands in the aftermath of hurricane Irma. The outcome will identify the things to focus on in this first phase of stabilizing our Territory. The sessions are being held today, October 8 and Monday, October 9, and are being facilitated by Peter Richardson of the Paterson Center, a company that specialises in strategic planning.

Included in the discussion is Premier of the Virgin Islands, Dr. the Hon. D. Orlando Smith, OBE; Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Dr. the Hon. Kedrick Pickering; Minister for Communications and Works, Hon. Mark Vanterpool; Minister for Education and Culture, Hon. Myron Walwyn; Jr. Minister for Tourism, Hon. Archibald Christian; Representative for the Ninth District, Dr. the Hon. Hubert O’Neal; Financial Secretary, Mr. Glenroy Forbes; tourism and financial services industry leaders, Permanent Secretaries and other Heads of Departments.
