Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE, is pictured with  Minister Counselor and Head of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, Minister Xu Jin as they exchanged gifts and dialogued during a courtesy visit to the Honourable Premier. Premier Smith and Minister Jin discussed business management, financial services, tourism and the development of Small and Medium Enterprises as the primary areas of economic growth for the British Virgin Islands.

Premier Smith also discussed the advantages of the BVI’s attraction as a tourism destination and highlighted that the Territory is renowned as the sailing capital of the world.  Minister Jin is leading a two member delegation, comprised of First Secretary, Mr. Hongyong Huang and Third Secretary Mr. Peng Zhang on a three-day diplomatic visit to the Territory from December 1 to December 3.
