Mother’s Day Message

The only thing greater than a mother’s love is the love of God, our creator.  One of the greatest indications of God’s love is that he gave us mothers.  I thank God for mothers.  They love us despite our faults; they protect us from even the slightest of harm; they make sure that we are clothed and fed; they pray for us though we may not know it; and they push us to our greatest potential.  Who are the biggest cheerleaders on sports day—mothers!  Who is the greatest source of support to our children with online learning—again mothers!  Who is the glue that keeps the household together during lockdowns and tough times—yet again mothers!

Now is the time more than ever to show mothers how much we appreciate them.  Now is the time for us to give mothers their flowers—not just on mother’s day but every time we have the opportunity.  With a heart full of love, I say to all the mothers in the Territory, especially those who work within the statutory bodies, departments, units and schools within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Agriculture, Fisheries, Youth Affairs and Sports and especially those mothers in the 7^th District, “may God’s abundant and continuous blessings fall upon you and your family; may you be renewed and refreshed in your God-given role; and may your hopes, dreams, and aspirations in accordance with God’s will be granted by God’s grace.  Happy Mother’s Day!  Enjoy your special day!
