The Cappoon’s Bay Clinic has been renamed today, November 20, in honour of the late Theresa Smith Blyden in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of healthcare services in the Virgin Islands. Remarks were given by Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE; and Leader of the Opposition/First District Representative, Honourable Andrew Fahie. Special presentations were also made to community stalwarts Jennifer Bertie and the late Trinita Donovan in recognition of their contributions to healthcare as residents of the Cappoon’s Bay area.
