The BVI Post joined countries around the world in observing World Post Day on Wednesday, October 9.  The day is observed annually on the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern.

The event was commemorated locally with displays highlighting the services offered by the post, along with a customer appreciation day where the public was treated to several trinkets and paraphernalia.
