The public is notified that the Park and Ride Shuttle Service will be suspended for the remainder of today, May 16 due to a power outage at the Ralph T. O’Neal Administration Complex.

More than 60,000 passengers have accessed the City of Road Town with the Park and Ride Shuttle Service launched one year ago.

Madam Speaker, this week – on 7 February, to be more specific - we recognised the first anniversary of the City of Road Town Park and Ride Shuttle Service, and I am pleased to report to this Honourable House that this service which provides essential transportation around the City, has been a resounding success.

Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer has said that a Public Transportation Dispatching Unit and a review of the Taxi Tariff is underway to support the highest standards of service to visitors and the travelling public.

Madam Speaker, I wish to provide a brief report to this Honourable House on the Government's continuing efforts to increase airlift to the Virgin Islands so that we can make traveling easier and more affordable for all our residents and visitors, which is important to our tourism industry and our economy.

Madam Speaker, as we approach the start of the 2022-2023 cruise season and strive to enhance our service standard, the Taxi and Livery Commission, in conjunction with the Ministry of Communication and Works, will be undertaking a few initiatives, including the establishment of a Public Transportation Dispatching Unit under the Taxi and Livery Commission, and a review of the Taxi Tariff.

The public is notified that the portion of Windy Hill Road, Tortola in the vicinity of Sage Mountain to ‘Stoutt’s Look Out’ will be partially closed to one lane traffic from Friday, August 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, for three months.
