In commemoration of Carnival Sunrise’s inaugural call to the Virgin Islands, Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie presented a plaque to the captain of the vessel on behalf of the Government and people of the Virgin Islands.
The Government of the Virgin Islands has paid tribute to former Chief Minister, tourism visionary and local cruise industry pioneer Cyril B. Romney, by renaming the Tortola Pier Park in his honour.
I am pleased and have the privilege to be in the right place at the right time to honour a gentleman who has contributed greatly to his country, the British Virgin Islands.

The Carnival Breeze is featured as it returned to the shores of the British Virgin Islands on Monday November 12 following the hurricanes of last year.
Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Mark Vanterpool earlier today (October 18) welcomed the Captain, crew and passengers of the Norwegian Getaway .......
