Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley is urging the Virgin Islands community to challenge ageism and stereotypes associated with Senior Citizens

This powerful message emphasises the resilience, vitality, and strength of our seniors, who continually strive to surpass the limitations traditionally associated with age.
The Social Development Department is notifying the public that the day sail planned for Virgin Gordon on May 31 for Senior Citizens Month is postponed.
“They have laid the foundation and are the shoulders on which we stand as men and women. They possess skills, knowledge and experience and continue to contribute effectively to society and they deserve our time, attention affection and respect,” Honourable Malone stated.
