Good morning. Thank you to members of the media for attending my regular press catch-up this morning – it is good to see you all. Good morning also to the Deputy Governor who joins us here this morning.

 Governor Jaspert praised the concept and organisers of Public Service Week, which was implemented to celebrate the hard work and commitment of Public Officers and provide a range of team building and well-being activities.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force will add four new law enforcement vehicles to their fleet as the Government of the Virgin Islands continues to invest in law enforcement.

Members of the Territory’s law enforcement, security and protection forces will soon be awarded the Governor’s Medal for Meritorious Service.

Public Officers are kindly asked to take items for the Public Service Pantry to their respective Team Captains:

Public officers are notified that the Public Service Week Tic Tac Toe competition has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 25 at noon. 

The Public Service will be observing its annual week of activities from November 22 to 27 under the theme “Twenty Years of Resilience, Hope and Celebration.”

Deputy Governor David D. Archer Jr has said that it is important to celebrate public officers during this milestone 20th year of Public Service Week.
