His Majesty’s Prison is the recipient of a new vehicle courtesy of the Ministry of Health and Social Development.

The public is notified that in-person visitation to Her Majesty’s Prison has resumed.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is advising the public that in-person visitation to Her Majesty’s Prison will resume on Tuesday, May 3.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is requesting proposals for the management, operation and maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment Plant at Her Majesty’s Prison on Tortola, for a period of two (2) years.

The public is notified that due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, His Excellency the Governor John Rankin and Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone have agreed that there be a suspension of visitation to Her Majesty's Prison until further notice.  

The Government of the Virgin Islands apologies for any inconvenience that may be caused.

Her Majesty’s Prison received a new Superintendent with the appointment of Mr. Guy-Michel Hill.

The National Security Council (NSC) convened a special meeting today to consider and review the events at Her Majesty’s Prison, which occurred over the weekend, 29-30 May, 2021.

I am deeply concerned about the events at Her Majesty’s Prison on Sunday evening that sadly resulted in a loss of life.
