Effective Monday, 16th March the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) has announced heightened security measures for the Port Purcell cargo facility in Tortola.

The Government of the British Virgin Islands has announced that it will halt cruise ship operations for an initial period of 30 days amid Coronovirus outbreak, citing the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring Covid-19 a pandemic.
While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in the British Virgin Islands, after carefully reviewing the clearance procedures at our Ports of Entry and in the best interest of our employees, we are proceeding with the temporary closure of select Ports and suspending our Ambassador Service Program at all Ports of entry.
