Government officials from several departments were trained in a two day workshop to preview the underwater survey processes that were used to create the updated Coastal Resources Atlas.
Officers from the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) were joined by colleagues in the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries to carry out sampling and analysis on Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke as part of the ongoing Virgin Islands Comprehensive Soils Study.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour has received a €927,980 (approx. $933,189) grant from the European Union (EU) through Expertise France to improve the water quality testing capabilities in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) will be carrying out a study of soils throughout the Territory as part of a Darwin Plus-funded research project launched this week.
