Mister Speaker, yesterday on 30th December 2020 the United Kingdom’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency for supply in the United Kingdom approved AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford/Vaccitechs Covid-19 vaccine candidate AZD1222.

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone has reported that there are 11 active cases of COVID-19 in the British Virgin Islands.

I extend Seasons Greetings to everyone in the Virgin Islands; throughout the region and the World. I am pleased to bring you the status report on the COVID-19 situation and response in the British Virgin Islands and the decisions of Cabinet following this week’s meeting.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie has said the additional approved mooring sites of Little Harbour, Great Harbour and Deadman’s Bay have been added to the marine protocol for those quarantining on approved vessels for the mandatory four complete days upon entry in to the Territory.

The public is advised of the inclusion of Little Harbour, Great Harbour and Deadman’s Bay on Peter Island as additional approved mooring sites in the Marine Protocol for persons quarantining for the mandatory four days upon entry into the Territory.

Proprietors and managers of bars, nightclubs and pubs are advised that they are to remain closed until consultation, training and re-inspection of their businesses by the Environmental Health Division and Social Distancing Task Force.
Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone said the new Curfew (No. 35) Order, 2020 calls for the restriction of vessels in the Territory’s waters.
