Good morning. Thank you for joining us at the Ministry of Financial Services, Labour and Trade's first press conference. We're excited to engage with you today and provide updates on our ongoing work, as well as address any questions you may have.
The public is notified that the Department of Labour and Workforce Development offices on Tortola and Virgin Gorda will be closed at noon on Friday 22nd March to accommodate the department's General Staff Meeting.

The Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade, Honourable Lorna Smith OBE, announced on Friday March 15, the successful completion of the first year of the UK-OT Illicit Finance Dialogue, which the Virgin Islands has co-chaired with the UK for the last twelve months.

The Department of Labour and Workforce Development is reminding employers who apply for work permits, of the annual submission requirement of an authorised signatory list.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is pleased to announce simplified work permit requirements for specific categories of individuals providing short-term services in the Territory.
The public is advised that the Department of Labour and Workforce Development offices on Tortola and Virgin Gorda will be closed at noon Friday, February 16, to accommodate the department's General Staff Meeting.
I am happy to announce that the Ministry of Financial Services, Labour and Trade has established an ad hoc advisory committee to review the minimum wage in the Virgin Islands.
