The Labour Department is working to align persons with possible jobs within the Virgin Islands labour force, by spearheading a programme themed “Coming to a District Near You”.

All employers operating on the Festival Grounds during the upcoming BVI Emancipation Festival are reminded that they are to apply for and obtain a work permit for any non-Belonger/non-BVIslander they desire to employ. 

Government is moving proactively to initiate the changes necessary to facilitate more substance-based economic activity in the Territory as part of the BVI Forward campaign.

The public is notified that the revised work permit fee structure will take effect on July 1. 

Please be advised that revised work permit fee structure will be implemented, effective July 1, 2017.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Dr. the Honourable Kedrick Pickering has announced that implementation of the new work permit fees is delayed indefinitely.
