On the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Commons the Rt. Honourable Sir Lindsay Hoyle, a delegation from the House of Assembly (HoA) of the Virgin Islands (VI) visited the United Kingdom Parliament to engage in the interactive capacity building via a fact-finding mission from March 21 to 24, 2022.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has placed transparency and accountability legislation at the forefront of its agenda for the Fourth Session of the Fourth House of Assembly.
His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John Rankin, acting in accordance with the advice of the Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie, has prorogued the House of Assembly effective Friday, December 24 until such a time a new session is appointed.

Mister Speaker, I’ve been made aware of an island-wide water interruption on the island of Anegada. Mister Speaker this is due to a transformer that is no longer working. I can assure you that the teams of the Water and Sewerage Department, they are working alongside with the BVI Electricity Corporation to rectify this matter, in the most expeditious manner possible.
