Last Sunday was international Women’s Day. The first International Women’s Day was celebrated in 1908 when a group of 15,000 women marched on the streets of New York, demanding their rights.
The Office of Gender Affairs will be highlighting the importance of job inclusiveness in keeping with this year’s International Women’s Day theme ‘I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Right’.

The Government of the Virgin Islands will host a high level delegation of United Nations experts at a workshop to draw attention to gender differences in responding to, and recovering from natural disasters on May 23 to 24.
