I consider it a sacred duty for a Premier to keep citizens informed of what their elected Government is doing, and hence I have been holding to this promise.
First let me say Good day and God’s Blessings to everyone. I recognise the protocols already established and I thank my honourable colleagues for being here with me also today and the hard working staff of the Ministry of Finance. God continues to lead the BVI to greener pastures.
Mister Speaker, on 2nd October, 2009, the Government of the Virgin Islands signed a loan agreement for $45 million with Banco Popular for the construction of the New Peebles Hospital Project.

Recently appointed Acting Financial Secretary Jeremiah Frett has suggested that the Government of the Virgin Islands implements a two-tier revenue committee and special expenditure committee in support of its goal of diversifying the BVI economy and developing new industry opportunities.
