The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, continues to highlight events from Farmers’ and Fishers’ Week 2022 held from Sunday, 27^th March to Saturday, 2^nd April.

There is a story sometimes told to describe heaven and hell. It is referred to as the parable of the long spoons. In this story, a man visits heaven and hell and learns a fundamental difference between a life of misery and one of joy.

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is advising all Masters operating as a commercial, pleasure or sport fisher, who received fishing licenses for the years 2020 and 2021 and who have not submitted their fish catch logbooks (datasheets) to do so immediately.

The public is notified that the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries has released an e-Magazine with articles about topics within the agricultural and fisheries sectors.

You would recall that shortly after the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic in March 2020, we in the BVI were presented with a grim projection – based on the scientific data - that unless decisive preventative steps were taken, the Territory was looking at getting 3,700 coronavirus cases in our small population.
