Greetings,

I have joined the Honourable Premier, Dr. D. Orlando Smith, on several occasions, as we completed negotiations with local contractors, to carry out rehabilitation works to our roads and bridges infrastructure.

Members of community organisations and the public are invited to join together and form a human chain at Long Bay Beach, Beef Island on Saturday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m.

Certain events in our lives are so momentous that we will always remember where we were and what we did when those events occurred.

Technicians at the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) and the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA) are being trained to complete the installation of weather stations across the Territory.

A human chain will be formed at Long Bay Beach, Beef Island this Saturday, September 8 in observation of the 1^st anniversary of the passage of Hurricane Irma.

The public is reminded to attend the Service of Thanksgiving, Reflection and Restoration in observation of the one year anniversary of the passage of hurricane Irma.

The public is notified that the hurricane debris dumpsters project has been extended to September 14. 

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE has said his government welcomes the opportunity to partner with the community in its plans to observe the 1^st anniversary of the passage of Hurricane Irma.
