Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. Forty-eight (48) hours ago I made announcements of two additional COVID-19 cases that were detected while in government sponsored quarantined facilities.
Fellow Virgin Islanders, residents and friends, good evening. On Friday the 14th of August we brought you a comprehensive update on the COVID-19 situation in the Territory and the recent decisions that were taken by Cabinet to further ease internal restrictions and transition towards the second phase of the controlled border reopening plan.
As we enter this new week, it feels as though we are also entering a new chapter in BVI’s response to COVID-19. I would like to take this opportunity to update and reassure the public on what to expect over the coming weeks.
