The National Security Council (NSC) met on the afternoon of Friday, 17th May, 2024 to consider the murder of two adult males earlier that morning in Huntums Ghut. 

My fellow Virgin Islanders and Residents, I am excited to be speaking to you on this momentous occasion, our first-year anniversary of the swearing in, of this government, into the 5th House of Assembly.  

I am privileged to have been elected by the people of the First District and to serve in the Fifth House of Assembly.

Cabinet Meeting 

His Excellency the Governor Daniel Pruce chaired the meeting held on 1st May, 2024. All Members were present. 

The Government of the Virgin Islands is aware of recent developments at Republic Bank (BVI) Limited, which resulted in the withdrawal of funds from several customer accounts.  

The Ministry of Communications and Works is fully aware of the unexpected and severe flooding that has occurred across the Virgin Islands territory today. Heavy rainfall has led to widespread flash flooding in various parts of the islands, causing significant disruptions to traffic and infrastructure, as well as impacting homes and businesses.

On behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands and on my own behalf and that of my family, I join with the Territory in expressing condolences to the family and loved ones of former Member of the House of Assembly, Mr. Vernon E. Malone, on his passing.

I am saddened to hear about the death of Mr. Vernon Malone over the weekend. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
