Good day and God’s Blessings to everyone. In the space of two weeks, we heard of two fatal shootings in our community. On Wednesday, September 2, Mr. George “Shawala” Burrows was shot in his home. On Thursday, September 10, Mr. Matthew Daly was shot in the Spring Ghut. In both instances, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Today is a long awaited occasion, and just like you, I am glad that it is finally here. I am happy that we are able to deliver this support to our small businesses, which – and we cannot say it enough – is the backbone of our economy.
Good morning British Virgin Islands. There is an African saying that “Money cannot guarantee life, but with the life, you can guarantee an opportunity to make money.”
I wish that the extraordinary circumstances which we face today could be tidily summarised and summarily addressed with the application of a wise quote from our Motherland.

Les traigo saludos a todos y les agradezco por acompañarnos mientras les traigo otro informe sobre la situación y respuesta del COVID-19 en el Territorio.
Good morning to all. I am delighted to greet you the educators this morning as we get ready to open our schools for the 2020/2021 academic year. Three years ago yesterday, Hurricane Irma unleashed unprecedented destruction. The fact that we are still on the land of the living is a testament to God’s faithfulness to us. I am grateful to God for his guidance and protection over the past three years. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. I thank God that he blessed us with resilience.
Sunday, 6th September, 2020, will mark three years since our small, but beautiful islands and our people were struck by a catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane, Irma.
Las Islas Vírgenes Británicas están experimentando pequeñas agrupaciones de casos de COVID-19 que están principalmente vinculados a familias, ambientes sociales o laborales y que el Territorio ha pasado a la fase de Alerta Naranja "Gestionarlo" de nuestra respuesta a la pandemia.
