It is a very exciting day for our Territory, as we witness our main airport Terrance B. Lettsome International; open its doors on the eve of the reopening of our borders to nationals, visitors, family and friends.
There is an erroneous news article titled: “Virginia woman worried about safety of sister detained in British Virgin Islands” by Scott Taylor, ABC7 WJLA, November 26, 2020.
Mr. Speaker, a pleasant good day and GOD’s blessings be upon you, all Honourable Members of this Honourable House and all the people of these beautiful Virgin Islands — those here in the Gallery, those listening via the radio and to those viewing online – both at home and abroad, as we continue to move forward in this New Regular living and working with COVID-19.
While we understand the inherent news value of the case stemming from last week’s seizure of firearms and illicit drugs, we would urge all commenters, pundits and journalists to exercise good judgment in their coverage and discussions of the case.

I would like to deliver an update on the state of security in the Territory and I am joined by the Commissioner of Police, who can update on recent successful operations.
