Fourteen of the Territory’s Safe Schools were recertified ‘Safe’, as the schools’ facilities are found to still be prepared to appropriately handle the impact of any hazard, and the schools continue to promote a culture that encourages the health and well-being of students and staff.
Chairman of the National Health and Wellness Advisory Council, Mr. Elton Georges has reinforced the message of the unhealthy impact of alcohol following Caribbean Alcohol Reduction Day.
The Government of the Virgin Islands continues to make progress with its road rehabilitation programme that includes resurfacing, installing edge of roads, curb walls and slipper drains on all four major islands.

The Environmental Health Division is alerting food handlers on Jost Van Dyke that an educational Session will be held on Tuesday, December 6, at Rudy’s in Great Harbour.
The Enid Scatliffe Pre Primary School (ESPPS) is hosting an interactive parenting workshop titled, ‘Care for Me; Teach Me; I Will Learn!’ on Tuesday, November 29, at 5:15 p.m. at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall.

The Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly has received a donation of new window blinds to assist in the ongoing efforts to improve the overall look and environment of the Home.
In moving towards achieving ‘Quality Education Opportunities for All’, Overseas Territories (OTs) of the United Kingdom, which are also Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Associate Members will come together in the British Virgin Islands to discuss regional goals for education and human resource development.
