Chief Fire Officer Mr. Zebalon McLean has said that communities on the western end of the Territory are not in any danger with the fire at the incinerator at Pock Wood Pond.

The Director of the Department of Disaster Management, Ms. Sharleen S. DaBreo will be honoured at an investiture ceremony at Government House. She will be awarded with the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) Badge.

Contracts have been signed to commence the refurbishment of the police barracks next to the Virgin Gorda Police Station to provide fit-for-purpose accommodations of police officers. Works are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 26.
The public is hereby informed that continuous Voter Registration is ongoing and all persons who are eligible and have attained the age of eighteen (18) years are encouraged to register to vote. All other eligible persons are also encouraged to register to vote.

Marine inspectors from the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry (VISR) attended the Caribbean Ship Inspector Training (CASIT) course in Trinidad and Tobago from October 29 through November 16.
