The Water and Sewerage Department’s water distribution network’s power service has been restored following disruptions over the weekend that left many residents without water.

International election observers have found that the British Virgin Islands 2023 General Election broadly met international standards. 

Following the elections held in the Territory on Monday 24 April 2023, the Governor has today received a letter from the elected members of the Virgin Islands Party, together with Mrs. Lorna Smith OBE, elected At Large Representative, that declares their support for the appointment of Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley as Premier of the Virgin Islands and for him to form the Government of the Virgin Islands in accordance with Section 52 of the VI Constitution Order, 2007.  

The Government of the Virgin Islands requests tenders for the Supply of three (3) customised Vehicles for the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force. 

A leak in a main water distribution pipe that resulted in a widespread water outage was identified and repaired on Friday, April 21.
