The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour has confirmed that the removal process has begun for the over 50 Shortfin pilot whales that have died on the island of Anegada.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for the processing and exportation of scrap metal from the temporary derelict vehicle site in Pockwood Pond.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley is away from the Territory attending the 43rd Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in Suriname from July 3 to 5.
Over 50 Shortfin pilot whales have died on the East End of Anegada and persons are urged not to attempt to move the stranded whales from the shore. The pod of whales was estimated to be some 150 observed in the area.

In keeping with its strategic goal to promote excellence in teaching and learning, the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) has announced its membership in the Fulbright Awards Programme administered by the U.K. Fulbright Commission.
The Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) has contracted firms for the construction of the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) under the ESHS Redevelopment project. Construction has started on 4th April 2022.
The public is encouraged to provide feedback on the ongoing government reform at today’s public meeting at the Willard Wheatley Primary School, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
