More than 60 taxi operators in the British Virgin Islands have benefitted from a number of information sessions presented by the Financial Services Implementation Unit as part of the ongoing BVI Forward campaign to build greater awareness about financial services.

The Cabinet of the Government of the Virgin Islands has approved the re-appointment of two members and the appointment of one member to serve on the Social Security Board Appeals Tribunal.
The Government of the Virgin Islands has commissioned a research study to examine and illuminate the contributions of the British Virgin Islands’ financial services industry to the global economy.
On 13 June, 2016, the Honourable Sir Bernard Eder, Q.C. will succeed Justice Samuel Sher, Q.C. as High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court’s Commercial Division located in the British Virgin Islands.
The Honourable Sir Henry Bernard Eder QC, a renowned English silk (Queen’s Counsel), has been appointed to act as Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
Members of the Territory’s Search and Rescue Team (TSART) have been developing their swimming and water rescue skills through their participation in a ten week training session.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE, has reiterated his Government’s commitment to youth development and investing in the Territory’s young people.
