Health Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Chief Medical Officers from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Member States are featured on a tour of the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital yesterday. 

Health Ministers from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Chief Medical Officers, Permanent Secretaries and other health delegates are featured at the Ninth OECS Council of Ministers: Health chaired by Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley.

Today, Thursday, October 12, the Government of the Virgin Islands entered into two contracts for the Waste Water Treatment Plant at Paraquita Bay. The first contract signed is for Management and Operation of the Waste Water Treatment Plant and the second is for the Repair and Commission of Wastewater Plant and Design and Construction of Sludge Treatment Facility.

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley said the 36^th Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)/Pooled Procurement Service (PPS) Policy Board Meeting emphasised the importance of collaboration to afford pharmaceuticals and health equipment in the OECS region.

Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye Rymer hosted a community meeting in Virgin Gorda on Tuesday evening, October 10, to discuss the ongoing water issues that are being experience on the sister island. 

Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley  at the Press Conference on Friday October 6 said: "With respect to the 4th Quarterly Report by His Excellency the Governor on the implementation of the Framework for Reforms, I am pleased that His Excellency has acknowledged the volume of work that has been done by the elected Government and the public officers across the various Ministries."
