Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Mark Vanterpool, met with Heads of Department of the Ministry on July 30 to strategise the Territory’s infrastructural development under the Ministry’s portfolio.

The aim of the meeting was to strategically formulate a plan to execute the mandate of the Government of the Virgin Islands for the term and to plan for objectives to be completed within the first 16 months.

Honourable Vanterpool said that through the Ministry of Communications and Works, the Government will be concentrating on stabilising the supply of electricity, upgrading the water distribution network, fixing the sewerage system, developing the city of Road Town and seeking means of providing renewable energy.

He said that over the next four years there will be a great amount of work in these areas as the Ministry moves forward with its mandate.

Honourable Vanterpool thanked the people of the Virgin Islands for their continued patience and commended his team for their renewed commitment to achieving the mandate of the Government.
