Residents of the Virgin Islands are invited to Wear Blue on Friday, April 27, in a national demonstration of unity against child abuse and in support of our survivors.

Blue is the official colour of child abuse awareness, and everyone is invited to use a blue ribbon on their car, wear a blue article of clothing, the blue teddy bear pin or the custom ‘Pinwheel for Prevention’ tee displaying this year’s new theme for Child Protection.

Custom Tees can be purchased at Crazy Threads at telephone numbers 340-9696 or Nova Vita Apparels at 344-4064.

Persons are also reminded to show their support by posting on the ‘Break the Silence’ Facebook page via photos, stories and testimonials throughout April or use the hashtag #BTSVI,  #breakthesilencevi or #pinwheelsforpreventionBVI. For more information, please telephone the Social Development Department at 468-3650.
