Residents of Major Bay to Beef Island are advised that their water service will be interrupted from Thursday, February 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily until March.

The purpose for the interruption is to facilitate the upgrade of water main pipes from Parham Town to RiteWay East End (James Young). Residents should expect to see upgrades to the water lines, installation of operator valves and fire hydrants at intersections in accordance with industry standards.

The upgrade to the pipes is expected to eliminate the many issues of water breaks in the area.  Motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution and/or seek alternate routes as there will be traffic delays. The Department apologises for inconvenience caused during this period.

The Water and Sewerage Department continues in its effort to ensure that all its customers receive a continuous supply of reliable potable water on a daily basis.
